Farmhouse Style is it out for 2022

All of us know the Farmhouse styles made famous by icons like Joanna Gaines of ” Fixer Upper” but the Farmhouse style has evolved over the years, I don’t believe Farmhouse is dead yet. Especially in Vermont where we all have log cabins and farmhouses and farms and tiny houses.

But it has evolved: What’s Gone

-Cheap looking signs with chicken wire or tin windmills

-Cheap Faux Distressed furniture

-Decor that looks DIY but is not

Basically anything that is cheap distressed or inexpensive farmhouse like I.E. Big Lots Farmhouse items

Landscape Paintings and genuine Prints

Bold Colors

Botanical prints- ie Dried Flowers and botanicals

Pottery and Planters

Texture on walls

Antiques and Genuine Collectables are not going away use them sparingly and are fun to use especially if they family heirlooms

Vintage rugs
